4 Steps for the Perfect Bathroom
The bathroom is one of the most important rooms in your home and when designing or renovating it, planning and time are required. However, to make life a little easier, we’ve put together a few things you need to think about in order to have your perfect bathroom.
Remember Functionality
Designing a bathroom is a lot different to designing a living room – you need to remember what you will be using it for. It’s all well and good to have a fantastic layout but if it isn’t practical for everyday use, you’ll have to go back to the drawing board.
Map Your Space Efficiently
Plumbing considerations play a big part in how to arrange your bathroom, but even looking at what items you use more can drastically change your old bathroom into a luxurious place.
Take Surfaces into Account
If you want a beautifully designed bathroom, then expensive surfaces such as marble and granite would look brilliant. However, when thinking logically, they aren’t very slip-resistant and so could lead to serious injuries through slips and falls. In this case, something more slip-resistant such as slate would be more beneficial, but again take into account certain things such as dirt build-up.
Think About Lighting Arrangements
When designing the perfect bathroom, having the perfect lighting is essential. Always remember how the type of lighting you want will affect you. For example, having fluorescent lights will shine a different light compared to traditional incandescent lights. For a purer light, LED lights would be more beneficial, but they are more expensive, so it’s worth keeping this in mind.
It is important to have the perfect bathroom, as it is one of the many cornerstones in the traditional house set up. At Kendal Tile and Stone, we put so much care and effort to make sure that you get the most out of your bathroom with our exquisite sets of ceramic bathroom tiles.
